​Bristol Now and Then is based around the dying social hubs that were once the beating hearts of many local communities in Bristol. Our plan is to find archive photographs of Pubs, Cinemas, High streets and other important community places and match their composition with our own modern photography, demonstrating and highlighting the changes of modernisation. All of this in order to highlight the historical and cultural changes within Bristol and demonstrate the effects of modern living and necessity, and how this has evolved over the years.
